Police are searching for a suspect who is wanted in connection to a shooting incident in a west Edmonton park.
Edmonton Police said a male victim was found with gunshot wounds to both of his legs, though his injuries are considered not life-threatening.
The altercation between two males occurred in the area of 189 Street and 96 Avenue at around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night. Police said the men are not associated with the La Perle neighbourhood.
“This is not a random occurrence. We believe these individuals know one another,” Acting Insp. Doug Fedechko said.
The motive is under investigation as police search for the suspect.
