Hours after the family of the only teen to survive a fatal car crash in Grande Prairie last fall reported their vehicle full of sentimental items stolen, Police found the SUV with most of its contents untouched.

Police told CTV News Zach Judd's family's Dodge Durango was found at about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at 97 Avenue and 114 Street.

According to police, the vehicle was found after a tip from the public.

Most of the items were still inside; however a football helmet and a pair of running shoes are missing.

Zach Judd was the only teen to survive a collision in Grande Prairie that killed four of his friends.

Judd was in a coma after the crash, and in recent weeks has been making major strides in his recovery from injuries he sustained in the crash.

Judd, and his mother Desiree have been staying at an Edmonton condo complex as he continues treatment at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital.

Police are still investigating the theft.
