Two men died Sunday in a highway collision near Viking, and RCMP are investigating.
Police said on Sunday, at about 4:45 p.m., officers from the Viking RCMP detachment, along with paramedics and firefighters with Beaver County were called to a two vehicle crash on Highway 14 east of Viking.
When officers and emergency crews arrived, they found that the drivers of the two pickup trucks – two men aged 23 and 78-years-old - involved in the crash had killed on impact.
RCMP said both were the only people inside the trucks at the time of the crash.
The affected section of highway was closed for four hours in both directions while officers investigated.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, but the investigating continues – RCMP are not releasing the names of the drivers at the request of their families.
