The RCMP is investigating after two people were found dead in a Fort Saskatchewan home early Friday morning.
Investigators say they received reports of shots fired at a home on Alderson Close, shortly before 6:30 a.m. The cul-de-sac on the west side of the city was closed to traffic for most of the day Friday.
The area was reopend around 3:30 p.m.
“This investigation is in the very early stages, but some of the critical points is that no one has been charged or arrested,” said RCMP Insp. Gibson Glavin. “What we’re doing is trying to eliminate anyone that could be involved.”
Police have not identified the two people found dead.
No arrests have been made, but police say there is no risk to public safety. The investigation is ongoing.
