Edmonton International Jazz Festival

It's the final weekend of the Edmonton International Jazz Festival.

There are more than 10 shows left, including Empirical on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. at The Yardbird Suite; The Writers' Guild on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. at The Blue Chair Café; and the Edmonton Jazz Ensemble at The Yardbird Suite on Sunday at 2 p.m.

 

BOMFEST!

Need something more exciting than jazz during the long weekend? Boodang's BOMFEST festival is back in Edmonton.

Zhu, RL Grime, and Tiesto are headlining each night of the festival at the Edmonton Expo Grounds.

The Works Art & Design Festival

Switching gears: The Works Art & Design Festival is going strong until next Tuesday with visual art, design and live entertainment at the Alberta Legislature grounds. Plus, the event is free.

 

Royal Canadian SPECTAC! 2019

High-flying acrobatics and tricks, towers of balanced bodies and many more circus acts at the West Edmonton Mall this weekend and beyond.

 

Boardwalk Sand on Whyte

The festival in Old Strathcona begins on Friday and runs until July 7. There are professional sand carvings, live music, and on Monday there will be a Canada Day picnic.

Edmonton Stingers game

Still feeling the Toronto Raptors championship fever? Catch the Edmonton Stingers take on the Niagara River Lions at the Edmonton EXPO Centre Friday at 7 p.m.

FC Edmonton is hosting HFX Wanderers FC on Canada Day at 1:30 p.m. The Eddies have won two matches in a row.

 

Canada Day at the Alberta Legislature

From the pancake breakfast to the Alberta Diversity Stage and the Family Fun Zone, there are plenty of activities to keep your family busy, beginning at noon on July 1.

 

City of Edmonton Canada Day fireworks

The spectacular display begins at 11 p.m. and can be seen from many of Edmonton’s river valley parks. Be prepared for traffic increases and event road closures for the event.

 

Free Canada Day admission at the Art Gallery of Alberta

With the support of Capital Power, the Art Gallery of Alberta is offering free admission on Canada.  Bring the whole family to check out the exhibitions and art activities.

The gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the first pitch is at 7:05 p.m. After the game, stay for the live band, The Whiskey Boyz, who will be playing until the City of Edmonton fireworks begin.

 

Canada Day in Strathcona County

Canada Day at Broadmoor Lake Park in Sherwood Park is Strathcona County’s biggest annual festival!  It all begins at 9 a.m. with a pancake breakfast and the fun and activities go all day long.  This is a family focused event and there will be zero tolerance for public consumption of liquor or illegal drugs.

St. Albert celebrates Canada Day

A pancake breakfast kicks things off at 8 a.m., and activities continue throughout the day.  Bouncy castles, games, vendors and live entertainment are available all day, ending with the fireworks display at 11 p.m.

3rd Canadian Division Support Base Edmonton Canada Day celebrations

This Canada Day event is the largest event hosted at CFB Edmonton every year.  This year features a carnival and military static displays.
