A British man running across Canada to raise money for children's hospitals said he was attacked and robbed in Banff.
Jame McDonald said the incident happened while he was celebrating the New Year in the Mountain resort town.

McDonald explained that as he was walking down a hotel hallway, three strange men from a nearby room jumped him, pulled him into a room and beat him.
The bag that they took contained footage of his journey.
On Wednesday, a stranger dropped the bag off at the Banff RCMP detachment.
“We need to remind ourselves that these things happen and it's a blip in the ocean to how the world is and how amazing this country is,” McDonald said.
“It was an experience I’m probably going to try and forget.”
McDonald said he will now continue his journey, raising money and awareness for children’s hosptials.
