Investigators are looking into the cause of an early morning fire in the Cromdale neighbourhood.

Fire crews responded to the burning house, near 112 Avenue and 79 Street, just before 2:00 a.m.. By that time, flames had engulfed a large portion of the back of the structure.

Firefighters say they had to work carefully because of a ruptured gas line and live power lines.
