While Edmontonians dealt with a resurgence of wintery weather, with a springtime snowfall, EPCOR crews were working to deal with a number of power outages throughout the city.
In a tweet sent out Tuesday evening, EPCOR said officials were aware of several power outages throughout Edmonton, and in another tweet, said extra crews had been called in to assist.
At 7 p.m., EPCOR said six separate outages had been confirmed.

EPCOR said many of the outages were weather-related, saying “Fine mist, rain and snow create problems when mixed with debris on power poles.”
In at least one outage, EPCOR said the case had been confirmed to be a pole fire – a common occurrence in springtime – where rain and snow mixed with debris on a power pole, sparking a fire.
