Officials with the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT) said an arsenal of weapons and a large amount of drugs was seized in a series of raids in three Edmonton homes.
ALERT said Edmonton Police Service officers, Alberta Sheriffs and RCMP officers seized firearms and more than $100,000 worth of drugs in raids on three homes that took place on August 14.
According to ALERT, eight firearms, including three semi-automatic rifles, one modified and equipped with a silencer. In addition, a Glock handgun that had been illegally converted to being fully automatic and capable of shooting 1,200 rounds per minute, was seized.
“The public jeopardy when somebody shoots this gun is significant,” Insp. Darcy Strang said. “This is where we see members of the public who may be in significant danger is this is used around other people.”
The following weapons were seized:
- KRISS Vector carbine with a silencer
- Glock handgun converted to fully automatic
- Two SKS semi-automatic rifles
- Loaded Ruger handgun, with serial number removed
- Walter PPK handgun, previously reported as stolen
- Browning rifle
- Two suppressors
- Thousands of rounds of ammunition
In addition, an estimated $100,000 worth of drugs was also seized – it’s believed this particular group was supplying and trafficking drugs in Northern Alberta.
Drugs seized include:
- 26 grams of cocaine
- Nearly 2,000 illicit prescription pills
- 30 grams of MDMA powder
- 20 grams of psilocybin

A cocaine press was also seized, along with nearly 40 kilograms of an unknown buffing agent.
As a result of the investigation – which started in June – and the raids, four people are facing a number of charges.
ALERT said Tyson Willier, 23, was the main target of the investigation, he now faces 39 drug and weapons-related charges.
His associates, Bonita Hendricks, 20, Cleophus Houle, 42, and Vivian Korechuk, 43, were also charged.
