Officials with the Transportation Safety Board are investigating, after a small plane crashed in northern Alberta over the weekend.
TSB spokesperson Barry Holt told CTV News the crash took place just before 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
According to Holt, the Cessna 182 float plane went down in dense bush after taking off from Seibert Lake, east of Lac La Biche.
Search and rescue crews arrived on the scene of the crash Sunday night and found the pilot, and only person on board, dead.
At last word, two TSB investigators were on their way to the scene of the crash.
