Edmonton’s newest bottle depot, located in Windermere, has 16 sorting stations and two commercial drop-off stations for sports teams and community groups.
The Green Botte Depot is located in a new shopping centre in the Allan Drive area. Its location is an attempt to give bottle depots a different type of feel.
“We have invested a lot of money and a lot of time and a lot of energy and effort into making sure that we’re putting a fresh face on recycling, so when you think of a bottle depot, you don't necessarily think of a dingy back alley, but you think of nice, bright, clean facility when you can come get your recycling done,” Bottle Depot Regional Manager Dave Verge told CTV News.
A Bottle Depot is under construction on Ellerslie Road, and it is scheduled to open late 2018.
