Police have surrounded and evacuated an inn in northern Alberta, and students in nearby schools are being kept indoors, after a firearm complaint first thing Wednesday morning.
The Junction in in Two Hills, Alberta was evacuated, a witness told CTV News police had surrounded the hotel Wednesday morning.
Members from the RCMP Emergency Response Team, along with RCMP Police Dog Services and officers from the Vegreville RCMP detachment were also called in to help.
It’s not clear exactly what prompted the complaint, but police confirmed a firearm is involved in the situation.
Students in nearby schools are being kept inside, and all outside doors have been locked, due to the incident.
