A building in the midst of being demolished took an unexpected turn when a portion of it collapsed and fell onto Jasper Avenue.
The incident occurred shortly after five o'clock at the Mayfair Hotel, located at 108th St. and Jasper Ave. Luckily, both a portion of Jasper Avenue and sidewalk were currently closed to traffic.
Crews are cleaning up the mess and the scene should be back to normal within one hour.
No injuries were reported.
