Changes are in store for one of Edmonton's oldest recreation centres.
The city is now seeking public input on a plan that would see the Kinsmen Sports Centre get a face-lift.
The Kinsmen field house was built in 1968 and the pool built in 1976, and since then, there haven't been major renovations.
The city is now hoping to get a better idea of what people would like to see when it comes to upgrading the older facility.
"From surfaces to pool, to viewing areas, to program rooms, to different types of surfaces, to hot yoga studios, to different kinds of change rooms, we want to see which of those components are needed here," said Brad Badger, centre director.
On Wednesday, a public consultation will be held at the centre's multi-purpose room from 3:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
An online questionnaire will also be launched on the city's website.
Following that, a presentation will be made to city council in an effort to get capital funding for a renovation.
