A spokesperson for the Edmonton Police Service said Monday that driver error contributed to a vehicle crashing out of the second floor of the parkade at Londonderry Mall.
Police were called at 1:10 p.m. Monday, after the car drove and then crashed off of the parkade.
Two people were in the car at the time, both women, one is 31-years-old, the other 35-years old.
Both were taken to hospital as a precaution, but they did not suffer serious injuries – although firefighters had to cut them out of the vehicle.
EPS said the incident was not criminal in nature. Police said it was an error, the driver pushed the gas pedal, instead of the brake.
