One man has been killed and another charged following a fatal vehicle collision east of Edmonton.
RCMP officers from Two Hills and Vegreville detachments responded to the collision on Township Road 544 between Range Roads 143 and 144 around 10:20 p.m. Friday.
Investigators said a pickup truck heading east collided with another pickup that was parked.
The 22-year-old driver of the parked vehicle was declared dead and the driver of the eastbound pickup was arrested at the scene.
Johan Fehr, 22, has been charged with impaired driving causing death, driving while over 0.08 causing death, criminal negligence causing death, dangerous driving causing death and street racing causing death.
He has been released on bail and scheduled to appear in a Vegreville courtroom on June 23.
