Commuters who use 99 Street will be in for delays over the next few days as City crews work to repair a large sinkhole.
Officials said they received the call of the damage, located between 72 Avenue and 73 Avenue, around 2 p.m. Sunday.
Both directions of traffic will be required to share the northbound lanes until the road is repaired as the hole extends across the southbound lanes.
Christopher Weymouth, who works in the area, told CTV News it was not the first time a sinkhole developed in the area.
He said several weeks ago crews were working on a parking lot in the same area.
“They'd fill it in and then pave it up and then it would just sink in again and have to restart. And now it's moving out into the street.”
Officials said they expect the southbound lanes will remain closed for most of the week.
