City of Edmonton confirmed the planned reopening of Groat Road was on track Monday, announcing the roadway would reopen to traffic as scheduled.
Officials said the closed section of Groat Road – the section that passes under a bridge under construction – would reopen to traffic on Tuesday, April 7 at 6 a.m.
Back in mid-March, that section of roadway was shut down after girders on the new bridge, the 102 Avenue Bridge over Groat Road, buckled during installation.
In addition to the opening of Groat Road, parking restrictions brought in during the closure will gradually be lifted Tuesday, and crews will make changes to traffic signals.
