Police have released the identity of the victim of a stabbing which took place Thursday, July 28.
Thirty-year-old Eric Larry Cardinal died in hospital as a result of a stab wound.
Police were called to Mary Burlie Park near 97 Street and 105 Avenue at about 9:20 p.m. Thursday evening after a reported altercation.
Two men in their 30s were taken to hospital, the other man involved was treated and released and is not considered a suspect in the stabbing.
It's believed several witnesses were present at the time of the altercation, and they are asked to come forward.
Police have asked anyone with information on the stabbing to call the EPS Dispatch line at 780-423-4567.
