Edmonton police are helping fire investigators determine the cause of a fire in the city’s west end Friday morning.

Crews were called to the site of the fire, at a tile and stone business located in the area of 172 Street and 102 Avenue just after 4 a.m.

Officials later said pallets stacked outside of the building caught fire – and the flames spread to one of several nearby propane tanks.

Despite that, firefighters managed to contain the blaze not long after they arrived, and only the outside of the business was damaged.

No one was hurt – but the fire is considered suspicious, so police are involved in the investigation.
