• ½ cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 tsp. of olive oil
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 can flaked ham (or 10 strips of cooked bacon, chopped in food processor)
  • 2 T. chopped parsley
  • ½ tsp. of dry mustard
  • ¼ tsp. of Tabasco sauce
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Fry onions in olive oil until transparent. Beat cheese, mayonnaise and ham in food processor. Combine next four ingredients with fried onions. Chill and cover for at least two hours. Form into a ball – then roll in nuts. Serve with crackers, such as Wheat Thins. Can be prepared and frozen ahead of time, and served later.
