Man arrested in central Alberta convenience store robbery
Blackfalds RCMP arrested a young man in connection to an armed robbery at a convenience store last month.
On Nov. 11, two people held a 7-Eleven with a shotgun around 12:30 a.m while wearing Scream masks.
On Tuesday, Mounties performed a search warrant at a home in Red Deer and seized masks, a shotgun and a vehicle connected to the robbery.
A 19-year-old man was arrested and charged with:
- robbery with a firearm;
- disguise with intent;
- discharge a firearm with intent; and
- six firearms offences.
The man is scheduled for a court appearance at the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer on Friday.
The police investigation continues as Mounties have not identified the second thief connected to the robbery.
