Edmonton police have been investigating after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision overnight.
Officials said the collision, between the male pedestrian and a Toyota Camry, occurred at 97 Street and 135 Avenue just before 1 a.m. Saturday.
According to police, the man remains in hospital in critical condition.
Investigators said they have determined the 39-year-old was crossing the road against a red light when he was struck by the Camry.
Alcohol was suspected to be a factor.
No charges have been laid against the driver.
