Edmonton police were called to a collision in the city’s northwest Wednesday afternoon.
Police said the collision took place at 127 Street and 133 Avenue at about 1:10 p.m. Wednesday.
One person was taken to hospital in serious condition.
Police later said one person involved in the crash had been pronounced dead.
The north and southbound lanes of 127 Street between 132 and 137 Avenues was closed as police investigated Wednesday afternoon. The southbound lanes were reopened just before 4 p.m.
