RCMP said Monday that investigators had learned the Medical Examiner had confirmed the three victims found in a home near Edson on November 29 were cases of homicide – and said a search of a home the accused was staying at had uncovered dozens of weapons.

Edson RCMP said the Edmonton Medical Examiner had confirmed Friday, December 4 that Daniel Miller, 46, Roxanne Berube, 36, and Jazmine Lyon, 16, were murdered – although investigators are not releasing the causes of death, saying it would hamper their investigation.

Mickell Clayton Bailey, 19, is facing two charges of first degree murder in the deaths of Berube and Lyon, and one count of second degree murder in Miller’s death.

Investigators also said a search warrant at a home where Bailey had been staying had wrapped up – inside the home, investigators found and seized more than 30 firearms, some of them loaded, in addition to a number of illegal rifle magazines, ammunition, body armour, and stolen property.

Additional charges are pending further investigation.

Bailey is scheduled to appear in court December 15.
