EDMONTON -- RCMP are investigating the death of a man in Wetaskiwin Friday night.
Mounties responded to a complaint of a man dead at a residence at 10 p.m.
Upon arrival, the 34-year-old man was confirmed dead at the scene.
RCMP Major Crimes Unit has been called in for the investigation.
Wetaskiwin Mayor Tyler Gandam issued a statement urging those with information about the incident to contact police.
"I have talked to our RCMP Inspector and he has assured me there is no threat to the public at this time following a homicide in our City last night," Gandam wrote.
