Police were warning motorists to stay away from a busy section of road during rush hour Monday afternoon, after a transport truck rolled.

Strathcona County RCMP said officers were called to Highway 16, near Broadmoor Boulevard, at about 3:30 p.m.

RCMP said a semi-truck, hauling scrap metal, flipped on to its side – blocking traffic.

The westbound lanes were closed for hours Monday, with traffic diverted around the scene

No injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
