Police in St. Albert are investigating, after a couple was stabbed by an intruder in their home early Wednesday morning.
St. Albert RCMP said officers were called to a home in the Woodlands area at 4 a.m. Wednesday.
Officers arrived to find a husband and wife, both suffering from stab wounds.
The couple told police they had been woken up by a large male, who stabbed them before fleeing their home.
The pair is being treated for serious, non-life threatening injuries in hospital.
The suspect, described as a large male, hasn’t been located; it’s believed he fled the scene in a vehicle. The couple told police they didn’t recognize him.
