For the 4th-straight day...Edmonton hit a high of 25 on Thursday.
And...for the 3rd-straight day...parts of the city got hammered with a late-day thunderstorm.
You can see on the attached graphic that it was (again) the west half of the city that had the most rain.
The rainfall data for the suburbs isn't included in the City of Edmonton map, but St Alberta got hit with HEAVY rain as well.

Could we get a repeat AGAIN today?  Absolutely.
We may not make it back to 25, but there is a distinct possibility we'll have thunderstorms in the Capital Region this evening.
This morning, we have showers & thunderstorms in parts of northern & western Alberta.
The Capital Region & areas to the south will be partly cloudy through this morning.
Then, we'll watch the clouds & showers/thunderstorms develop later this afternoon & tonight.
We remain in a fairly unsettled weather setup today.  But, that'll start to change over the weekend.

An Upper Low will sneak across southern Alberta today & should be sitting over southern Saskatchewan Saturday afternoon.
Behind that system...an Upper Ridge starts to build in over Alberta Sunday.
That ridge is expected to dominate the weather pattern for at least the first half of next week.
So, we're anticipating sunny & hot weather for much of next week.  Will that last through to Canada & the long weekend?
That remains to be seen.
