Police east of Edmonton said arson is suspected in an early morning fire at a Sherwood Park auto shop Friday.
Strathcona County RCMP said police and emergency crews were called to a fire that reportedly involved several vehicles at the Broadmoor Auto Body shop, in the industrial area of Sherwood Park just after 5 a.m. Friday.
When crews arrived, RCMP contained the scene and no individuals were found in the area, and no fatalities or injuries were reported.
Eight vehicles were damaged in the fire, three of those were completely destroyed.
Early investigation results suggested the fires may have been deliberately set.
RCMP, RCMP Forensic Identification Services and Strathcona County Fire Marshal’s Office is still investigating the incident.
