Hundreds turned out for the first Edmonton Comic and Entertainment Expo.

Fans were lined up before the doors of the Edmonton Expo Centre were open and many dressed up for the occasion.

“I chose to go as Captain America,” Adam Miles said.

“I know that may be a bit weird in Canada but he's a great hero he's one of my favourite characters.

“I’m just really excited to be here,” he added.

“There are so many varieties of costumes that come here every year,” Lela Payette told CTV Edmonton.

“I just come to look at everything and to see everyone.

“It’s not just comics, it's everything.”

The show featured appearances by the Six Million Dollar Man, Lee Majors as well as Billy Dee Williams who played Lando in Star Wars.

The expo runs from October 20-21 at the Expo Centre.

It is a combination of the Calgary Expo and the Edmonton Collectible Toy and Comic Show.
