For the past two weeks family and friends of 21-year-old Dylan Koshman have been searching for the missing man and on Saturday they revived their efforts and made it clear they aren't giving up.
Dozens of people searched the trails near Aspen Garden in south Edmonton, where Koshman went missing two weeks ago.
"We have to keep going something, we have to keep the hope up, because we want to find him so desperately," said Koshman's mother Melanie Alix.
Dylan Koshman was last seen leaving his home on Oct. 11 near 104 Street and 33 Avenue after getting in a fight with his roommates.
His friends said he had been drinking and they got into an argument and they asked him to leave.
Koshman's wallet was found in a neighbours yard and his cell phone and bank account haven't been used since his disappearance.
"It's been really hard, you lay awake at night just wondering what could have happened to him and thinking the worst possible things," said Koshman's girlfriend Erin Huff.
The young man's family travelled to Edmonton from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan shortly after he went missing and have been keeping their fingers crossed for good news.
"It's hard, you emotions are up and down, you're confused, especially being in an area you don't know," said Koshman's father Dan Koshman.
The search effort has been in the public eye with numerous posters around the city and media attention, which led to a number of strangers joining the search effort.
"We're mothers and I just can't imagine if one of my children went missing in a town or city that I didn't know," said Devota Donnelly.
"If It was someone I knew or my child I would certainly want the community to come together and help search," said Clare Pearson.
Dylan Koshman is described as:
- 5'9" tall
- 190 lbs
- Last seen wearing a dark t-shirt and jeans
- Has scars on his left cheek and eyebrow
Anyone with information of Koshman's whereabouts is asked to call police at 780-423-4567.
