Fire crews were on scene, fighting a fire that started in a long-standing building in Lamont Friday afternoon.
Firefighters were called to the building which houses Zabel's Autobody and the Lamont Bakery at about 1:20 Friday.
Moments after crews arrived, the fire breached the roof of the vacant auto shop and continued to spread.
Only one woman was evacuated from the adjoining bakery; no injuries were reported.
The building has stood in Lamont for decades, making it an important fixture in the community.
The owner of the building watched as it was gutted by the fire, and said it was an emotional moment watching the fire spread.
"I've had this building for 15 or 16 years," Tom Dillon said in an interview with CTV News. "To come back to this here I'm just devastated."
The damage was so extensive; crews will have to demolish what's left for the safety of firefighters and investigators.
Crews have not found the cause of the fire, or a damage estimate.
