Jamie Farr, former M*A*S*H star, was rushed to an Edmonton hospital Sunday night.

Farr, who played Corporal Klinger on the Emmy-Award-winning sitcom, is in Edmonton at the Mayfield Dinner Theatre starring in the play "The Last Romance."

Unconfirmed reports on social media Sunday night said the actor fell ill during a performance and was taken away by ambulance. 

Farr celebrated his 80th birthday last week. 

Later Monday, the Mayfield Theatre tweeted that Farr would return to the stage Tuesday.
