Man in custody in connection to pair of suspicious deaths

Edmonton Police said one individual was in custody in connection to two suspicious deaths Friday afternoon.

Officers with Edmonton Police Service Downtown Division were called to a home near 111 Street and 111 Avenue at about 12:13 p.m. Friday, on reports of a suspicious person.

When police arrived, a male suspect was arrested – and officers found two residents, deceased, inside the home.

The EPS Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation, and remained on scene Friday afternoon.

EPS said autopsies had not yet been scheduled.
