St. Albert woman killed in Highway 28 crash

A 30-year-old woman from St. Albert was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 28 east of Morinville Monday morning.

Highway 28 was closed near Township Road 552 around 7:30 a.m.

The St. Albert resident was seriously hurt and died at the scene, RCMP said.

The other driver was hospitalized with minor injuries.

Mounties believe poor road conditions were "a contributing factor" in the crash.

The area was reopened by 2 p.m.

Three-year-old Zaid, who is described as possibly non-verbal, was last seen at 6:20 p.m. in Mississauga’s Erindale Park, near Dundas Street West and Mississauga Road.
