One person is dead and another is in hospital after a collision in St. Albert Saturday night.
Police said the incident happened on St. Albert Trail and Hebert Road around 8:20 p.m. after a southbound vehicle turning left struck a northbound vehicle.
“The vehicle that was travelling northbound then struck a light post,” Cst. Janice Schoepp explained.
The 20-year-old passenger was declared dead on the scene while the 26-year-old driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Their names have not been released.
No one in the second vehicle was injured.

“I had friends who died back in my home town,” Wildey told CTV News, adding her friends had died in a collision as well.
“Things like this brings back memories and feelings.”
