RCMP west of Edmonton are trying to locate a known offender wanted for violating parole conditions.

Hinton RCMP said they’re trying to track down Clayton William Gosney, 47 – who they said is considered a habitual offender.

Police said Gosney is unlawfully at large, and wanted for violating parole conditions; he had received a 31 month jail sentence in 2011 for a number of charges including stolen property, resisting arrest and drug offences.

Gosney was recently seen in the Hinton area, but has been known to visit Sylvan Lake, Lacombe and Edmonton areas.

RCMP said any information on Gosney’s whereabouts should be reported to the closest RCMP or Police detachment, or onto Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
