Police in Barrhead confirmed to CTV News Wednesday that a man who was facing charges connected to the death of a St. Albert couple, was facing another unrelated charge.
Barrhead RCMP said a domestic assault allegation was made against Travis Vader on June 13 in Barrhead.
RCMP said the allegation involved Vader’s common-law wife – and Vader was arrested and charged with assault.
CTV News has learned Vader appeared in a Barrhead courtroom Wednesday on those charges.
Officials confirmed he was denied bail.
