Ontario-based Sunrise Records is revealing plans to open more locations across Canada. In total, the company plans to operate 80 locations in eight provinces including two newly announced locations in Alberta. Bower Place in Red Deer and the CrossIron Mills Outlets in Rocky View just outside of Calgary will be adding new stores. Alberta will be home to 15 record store locations, four of which will be located in Edmonton; Bonnie Doon Shopping Centre, West Edmonton Mall, Londonderry Mall and Kingsway Mall.
In February the company revealed it would move into 70 retail spaces being vacated by HMV Canada as they planned to shut down stores across the country. In the same press release, Sunrise announced stores in Burlington and Barrie Ontario will be shutting down. Opening dates of the new locations will be revealed at a later date.
