Beginning Monday, Edmontonians will wake up to an expanded CTV Morning Live team.
Long-time local television anchor Stacey Brotzel is joining Rob Williams on the anchor desk and weather specialist Jesse Beyer will be providing up-to-the-minute weather forecasts for Edmonton, central and northern Alberta.
“I’m thrilled to be joining the CTV News team,” Brotzel says. “We’ll not only let our viewers know what happened while they were sleeping, they’ll leave the house with a smile on their face as well.”
Brotzel has worked for a number of television stations throughout western Canada. She is a graduate of NAIT and has covered news in Edmonton since 1997.
Jesse Beyer is also a graduate of NAIT, and joins CTV Morning Live following his most recent weather forecasting position in Saskatoon.
Mentored by CTV’s Chief Meteorologist Josh Classen, Beyer says he’s happy to be back in Edmonton.
“When it comes to weather reporting, CTV Edmonton has the highest reputation,” Beyer says.
“I’m proud to be joining such a strong tradition of excellence.
Williams is excited for the pair to join him weekday mornings.
"November 12 for me will be what December 25 is like for many others," Williams said.
"I am super excited to have Stacey and Jesse join me and Melissa on CTV Morning Live. Stacey is a great journalist who knows the city inside and out and she's a fantastic friend. Jesse is passionate about our weather and is a star int he making. We can't wait for Monday."
Join Rob Williams, Melissa Dominelli, Stacey Brotzel, Jesse Beyer on Nov. 12 beginning at 5:30 a.m., as they deliver news, weather, traffic and more, during an energetic and lively three-and-a-half-hours of everything viewers need to start their day.
