Edmonton police say a 20-year-old man who suffered serious injuries after being badly beaten earlier in the week has died from his injuries.
The victim was found by an officer patrolling the neighbourhood around 149th Ave. and 70th St. on Thursday around 3 a.m.
Police say the young man died in hospital. An autopsy will be held next week to determine the manner and cause of death.
The name of the deceased is not being released at this time.
Homicide detectives are involved in the investigation. Police are still in the process of interviewing witnesses.
