Former Alberta Conservative cabinet minister Ron Liepert is hoping to end the 17-year political run of Calgary MP Rob Anders today.
Liepert has been embroiled in a nasty campaign challenging Anders for the Conservative nomination in the new riding of Calgary Signal Hill.
Residents of the riding will pick the winner tonight.
Liepert says it's ironic that Anders has focused on personal attacks against him, instead of standing on his record as an MP.
