If you think Costco on a Saturday is busy, check out the crazy morning market in Hoi An. Admittedly that's where the similarity stops.  The fragrance shifts from sweet coconut to less than fresh fish.

The bustle is diverse. A woman selling fresh baguettes from the basket of her scooter, to the woman who is carrying two live chickens with feet bound on her bike.

We took a Jeep tour on old American Jeeps yesterday. Our driver was an American marine vet who served in the war in Vietnam for a year. A year he admits he still relives every day. We also met a woman who lived through the war. Both told stories that will haunt me.  I am still trying to reconcile in my head what I heard yesterday, so I will refrain from writing about it.

Switching gears please, we went by China Beach where U.S. soldiers went for R and R. A TV show was named after the DaNang coastal area where Americans first landed.  We went trucking up mountains and discovered this giant Buddha atop the hill. Only built a few years ago, you can see it from many coastal spots.
