Emily Nanooch got the chance to go backstage after Justin Bieber’s June 14 concert in Edmonton.

The meeting comes courtesy of the Make-A-Wish foundation. Emily was diagnosed with a rare kidney cancer three years ago. Now, she is two years cancer free.

Originally, Emily’s wish was to head to Disneyworld—but the family requested a change in plans once they found out the popstar was coming to Edmonton.

Emily’s mother told CTV Edmonton the special meeting was an incredible moment for her little girl.

“[Make-A-Wish] made her dream come true. We love them so much for doing that. Just to have that one day of happiness for [her] is more than anyone can ever ask for.”

Emily often listened to Justin Bieber to help her get through treatments.

“She used to tell herself to get better. She would talk to her body to say ‘get better’”

On top of their special moment, Bieber gave Emily some concert swag, including a signed poster and T-shirt.

Later, Bieber tweeted about the moment—a post that’s now gone viral.
