Police south of Red Deer said Friday that a man in his 20s was facing charges in connection to an incident involving a teenaged boy.
Innisfail RCMP said the investigation started on August 18, connected to a sexual assault and child luring incident involving a 13-year-old male.
Now, Nathan Pixley, 24, is facing charges of sexual assault, distributing sexually explicit material to a child, luring a child by means of telecommunication, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching, and three counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
RCMP said there was no connection between Pixley and the victim outside of social media.
Police said Pixley has been remanded in custody, and is scheduled to appear in Red Deer Provincial Court on September 14, 2016.
