A senior woman from Irma, Alberta won a $50 million Lotto Max jackpot Friday.
Irma is a village of approximately 500 residents located 177 kilometres southeast of Edmonton.
“You always think it’s people in cities and bigger places winning,” Irma resident John Budd told CTV Edmonton. “But to have such a big amount of money won in such a small community – it’s going to make a huge impact.”
