Late Monday afternoon, Lake Louise RCMP responded to Moraine Lake in Banff National Park for a report of a man who fell into the lake while canoeing.
Assisted by the Lake Louise Fire Department and Parks Canada Public Safety, an unresponsive male was located and taken to shore. CPR was administered and the man was transported to Banff Emergency Services via helicopter, he was pronounced dead shortly after.
RCMP continue to investigate and the identity of the man will not be released until next of kin is notified.
