Some residents in southwest Edmonton had an unusual encounter with a moose that was seen wandering through their neighbourhood Sunday night.
The young animal was exploring the area around Dechene Road, just west of the river valley, for several hours.
Residents in the area say the moose was trying to avoid people until is decided to relax next to a sprinkler.
Neighbours cornered the animal in a yard to keep it from running into traffic until wildlife officials came.
