Edmonton police announced Tuesday that the weekend death of a man had been deemed a homicide.
Police said the Medical Examiner had determined David John Labelle, 30, had died of a gunshot wound.
The investigation started after officers were called to a home in the area of 133 Street and 155 Avenue at about 5 a.m. Saturday, November 22 on reports of shots heard.
Labelle was found injured, he was taken to hospital in critical condition – but later passed away.
At the time, officers determined the suspect had fled the scene before police arrived. Investigators said it’s believed the victim and the shooter knew eachother.
